George has signed a new record deal with BMG Records, his first major label signing in nearly 30 years.
The new record deal unites George with his back-catalog which was owned by Virgin Music Publishing, but acquired by BMG in 2012.
George said, “I do feel really good, and certainly BMG are keen to do a record with me and I’m really keen to do a record with them. I want to be able to do my own record the way I want it.“
Korda Marshall, Executive Vice President – New Recordings, said “We’re incredibly delighted and proud to be signing such an amazing international artist like George. We’re all looking forward to working with him and his manager Paul Kemsley. His global legacy allows BMG to do what BMG does best – work together in delivering extraordinary music. A very big welcome to BMG.”
George’s first project with BMG will be a solo covers album that he has been promising fans on social media for some time now.
